2012 - Reflecting

Here are (just shy of) 100 of my favorite photos I took in 2012 (with the exception of 3-4 being when we first moved to SF).  I was hoping by the end of 2012 my portfolio would be a lot further along than it is, but the moving process slowed everything down, and it's only now that I feel settled.  That being said, I'm so happy that 2012 is filled with photos taken with my 5D, iPhone, and film cameras.  It's a mix of everything.  My phone allowed me to catch so many snippets of my life that I would have otherwise missed.  Looking back, it's filled with so many colors and so many wonderful memories.  I love that it looks back between 3 different countries, and that it's filled with some of the people closest in my life (or at least, those people are in the memories, if not all the pictures).

While every year comes with its surprises, this past year has been one of the most challenging, yet by far, the best year of my life.  I'm so thankful for it all and for everyone I met during the transition of moving.

Here they are, 2012:

I am so ready for 2013!  I want to take more photos, I want to take more photos of people, I want to take more photos with my 5D, and I want to travel as much as I can.  The best thing about traveling is it doesn't have to be far.  I'll always push for the further trips, but it's simply getting outside and walking around my neighborhood, or quick overnight trips to the desert.  Anything that gets you seeing and slowing down to look around at those things.
