The beautiful thing about traveling is that it gives you perspective. The Bixby Bridge is a magnificent bridge where countless hours were put into building it. Now it remains there, a part of the earth. It's easy to fret over things, but then you stand next to this bridge overlooking the ocean and you realize your worries mean little in the grand scheme of things. It takes hard work to build a bridge that people can cross. Hours of unnoticed labour went into building this bridge, and now people pass over it everyday without even realizing what they are crossing.
Unless they take a moment to stop and admire the bridge.
We have so much to be thankful for. And while our lives may go unnoticed by "the world," our labour is recognized by those that truly matter. Don't do it for recognition. Do it so others may appreciate beauty and life. Do it because it makes you happy.
